The 12 week Bible reading plan for self-isolation: week eleven

image

It’s the second-to-last study of our smallest books of the Bible. For 12 weeks, we’ve been supporting those who are self-isolating with a Bible book a week. With just one more week to go, it’s appropriate that this book is a big encouragement…

Week eleven : 2 Peter

These are Peter’s ‘final words’ as he finds himself close to death. He pours his heart into building up the church in confidence and faith. He helpfully notes the objections and lies that are circulating about the Christian faith and challenges them. Many are dodging some of the instructions to living a Holy life, even though they know what Jesus taught, so Peter reminds them that God will hold people accountable – even if it takes longer than expected. God wants to rescue the world through Jesus. Peter also reminds us that love is so important, and that to mirror God’s attributes is key.

Week ten: Habakkuk

Week nine: Jonah

Week eight: Nahum

Week seven: Haggai

Week six: Titus

Week five: Obadiah

Week four: Jude

Week three: Philemon

Week two: 3rd John
