Wendy Griffith is a Co-host on The 700 Club, as well as an Anchor and Senior Reporter for the Christian Broadcasting Network, headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Wendy commenced her career with CBN on Capitol Hill, where she served as the network’s Congressional Correspondent during the Impeachment trial of former President Bill Clinton. In 2000, she relocated to the Virginia Beach headquarters to focus on stories with a stronger spiritual emphasis. Over the years, she has journeyed around the world, covering a diverse range of stories, including the gripping hostage situation involving missionaries Martin and Gracia Burnham in the Philippines, the spiritual quandary surrounding homosexuality in the Episcopal Church, and the 2006 conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in northern Israel. Wendy has also journeyed to the Middle East to provide an in-depth perspective on the plight of Syrian refugees who fled their war-torn homeland to seek sanctuary in Jordan.
Wendy embarked on her television career in 1987 at the NBC affiliate KYEL-TV in Yuma, Arizona, following her graduation from West Virginia University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism. She went on to work in various television markets across the country, serving as an anchor and reporter. Notably, she had two stints at the ABC affiliate WCHS-TV in Charleston, West Virginia, her hometown.
