Martha Collison, a British baker and recipe writer based in Brighton, discovered her passion for baking at an early age, inspired by her parents’ encouragement. Since opening her first recipe book at 8, Martha has become a prominent figure in the food industry.
She writes a weekly column for Waitrose Weekend, participates in festivals, and contributes to high-profile events, such as ‘A Recipe for Life’ with Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby. Martha has collaborated with renowned brands like Cadbury, Mars, Lindt, Tate and Lyle, Panasonic, Billington’s, and Tala Bakeware.
With over 2 million views on YouTube, Martha has shared her baking expertise and voiced her opinions on radio programmes, including BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 2, and more. She has made appearances on various TV shows, including Blue Peter, The One Show, and Saturday Kitchen.
Martha is actively involved in charitable campaigns, particularly supporting anti-human trafficking work with Tearfund. She has recently partnered with Bramber Bakehouse, teaching baking workshops to restore women who have experienced sexual exploitation.
Her first book, “TWIST,” released in 2016, remained a Sunday Times bestseller for three weeks. Following its success, her second book, “Crave,” was published by HarperCollins in July 2017.
