Bobby Schuller on Hour of Power

Bobby Schuller

Pastor at Shepherd’s Grove Presbyterian Church, Irvine

Bobby Schuller is the host and preaching pastor of “The Hour of Power.” He is the grandson of Dr. Robert H. Schuller, and serves as the lead pastor at Shepherd’s Grove Presbyterian Church in Irvine, California. Hour of Power is the ministry’s long-standing televised church service that has reached millions of viewers worldwide since 1970. Bobby is a graduate of Oral Roberts University with a Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. His journey in ministry began in youth ministry at the Crystal Cathedral, eventually leading to his calling to establish a church. Together with his wife Hannah, they founded Tree of Life in Orange, California, known for its compassionate service to the community.

In 2012, as the Crystal Cathedral underwent transitions, Bobby began guest preaching on Sunday mornings, stepping into his grandfather’s pulpit. After preaching at both churches for some time, he was invited to become the full-time pastor of Hour of Power in 2013. The two congregations merged, relocating to Garden Grove and rebranding as Shepherd’s Grove under his leadership. Pastor Bobby’s relatable, Biblically-based teaching resonated with all generations. Today, in Irvine, the church continues to flourish, expanding its reach locally and globally each year.

As an author, he has penned several books, including Imagine Happiness, Happiness According to Jesus, You are Beloved, and Change Your Thoughts, Change Your World. An ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church (USA), he serves with vision and joy.

Family is his greatest passion. Married to Hannah since 2003, they have two children, Haven and Cohen. When not focused on ministry, you’ll find him cherishing moments with his family, whether it’s sharing a meal or enjoying the outdoors.
