Dr. Michael Youseff is a well known author and pastor of “Leading The Way,” airing church services on TBN UK.
Dr. Michael Amerhom Youssef’s life, marked by divine intervention, began with a perilous pregnancy. Despite medical advice to terminate, his parents chose life after reassurance from their pastor, who prophesied that the child would be “born to serve the Lord.” Surrendering his life to God at 16, Dr. Youssef, born in Egypt, fulfilled his dream of becoming a U.S. citizen after living in Lebanon and Australia.
Educated at Moore College and Fuller Theological Seminary, he holds a Ph.D. in cultural anthropology from Emory University. In 1987, he founded The Church of The Apostles with a mission to “Equip the Saints and Seek the Lost,” growing it from fewer than 40 to over 3000 members. This church served as the launching pad for Leading The Way’s international ministry.
Despite reaching millions globally, Dr. Youssef remains a pastor at heart, using his bold voice to provide Biblical clarity on contemporary issues and volunteering at Leading The Way. He is an author of over 50 books and he, alongside his wife, reside in Atlanta with their four children and 13 grandchildren.
